Technical Engineer Desktop (senior)

Job profile: Technical Engineer Desktop The primary responsibility will be maintaining the desktop Microsoft platform.


Responsibilities include:


Working in a small team;
Creating builds for XP / Vista / Windows 7;
Providing technical support to client service teams;
Performing Quality Assurance tests for delivery;
Advising and monitoring User Acceptance Tests;
Maintaining full documentation of systems, fault resolutions, and incident investigations;
Testing of new software releases, patches and upgrades;
Liaising with other technical support teams (UNIX, Windows, DBA, development, etc.);
Liaising with development groups to ensure standards are adhered to;
Establishing effective lines of communications;
Maintaining the necessary housekeeping of the delivery system and managing compatibility issues.
