J2EE Senior Architect - Brussels, Belgium

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior J2EE Software Architect to offer his/her services as expert who will be based in Belgium (Brussels) and who will work at the premises of the client (European Commission) and will form part of our internal IT team.

Your tasks:
Provision of advice and assistance in any area associated with the procurement, provision, delivery, maintenance, deployment, hosting, effective use of information systems and their environments;
Provision of quality plans, service level agreements,quality tests, quality control and evaluation, quality assessments or other quality matters associated with
information systems projects;
Assistance in the implementation of project management methodology;
Provision of security studies, security assessments or other security matters associated with information system projects;
Functional requirements and business case analysis;
Risk analysis;
Provision of technical studies, technical expertise, technical evaluations in relation with information systems.

Your skills:
University degree with minimum 6 years experience and a strong knowledge of Java based technologies, or non university degree with minimum 10 years experience;
Good knowledge and experience in software design and architecture;
Strong knowledge of Object Oriented approaches;
Good knowledge of Oracle Database and SQL;
Knowledge of ColdFusion, RUP methodology, ISO standards, IEEE and CMM would be an asset;
Fluency in English and/or French.
