Senior Statistician / Biostatistician – Germany

A leading pharmaceutical company has an opening for an experienced biostatistician to take their career to the next level in a rapidly growing team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on clinical trials al phases of clinical trials but focusing on phases II-III and will focus on global trials for oncology.

Responsibilities:

• The Senior Statistician will take a lead role in study design, helping to agree statistical timelines within the company.
• They will help to train and mentor junior members of the team and subsequently perform quality assurance checks on their work.
• Provide statistical advice for the study protocol and CRF design.
• Work closely with and project manage collaboration with statistical programmers and data managers
• Perform final quality checks on results submission before datalock.
• Take responsibility for statistical documentation and use these to take a lead role in submissions.
• Commit to their own professional development by attending regular training and conferences, keeping up to date with the latest industry techniques.
• Assist with team appraisals and recruitment.

Experience and qualifications:

• A minimum of an Msc or equivalent in statistics
• Strong experience as a statistician within a Pharma company or CRO
• Strong SAS programming skills
• Previous submissions and oncology experience would be advantageous
• Previous phase II and III experience desirable
• Excellent knowledge of clinical quality standards and protocols
• Experience of managing the statistical aspects of projects
• Excellent communication skills
