Fund Accountant – Jersey – Offshore Accountancy Job

This independent provider of fund administration services to the private equity, real estate and alternative investment fund industry is looking to add a skilled Fund Accountant, to its Jersey practice.

The duties of this Fund Accountant role are centered around the administration and client service delivery for a select portfolio of clients. To achieve the required standards you can expect to have to liaise with the clients, other teams and external advisers, draft incorporation documents, collect due diligence/KYC information, establish bank and other local facilities. It will also be the Fund Accountants responsibility to ensure timely and accurate book-keeping and assist with the ledger maintenance process by posting certain ledger entries and performing bank reconciliation. In this well paid offshore accounting job you will have to assure involvement with the investment procedure for new investments, respond to fund manager / investor queries as required and supervise, manage and develop a team of administrators.

For serious consideration for this Fund Accountant opportunity you will have a professional qualification or part qualification such as STEP, ICSA , ACA, ACCA. You will have experience in fund administration, preferably gained in working on Private Equity/Real Estate Funds. It would be beneficial if you have experience in SPV Administration and/or trust and company administration. Finally you have knowledge of regulations applicable to Private Equity and other AIF structures in Jersey and preferably experience of Guernsey/UK FSA regulations relating to the distribution, management and administration of AIFs.
