Senior Accounting Officer – Jersey - Accountancy Job

The fiduciary arm of this international offshore law firm requires a Senior Accounting Officer to be based in its Jersey office.

The main responsibility of the Senior Accounting Officer are focused around the provision of accounting services to clients mainly in the areas of banking, investment funds, private client, real estate, restructuring & insolvency and structured finance. This responsibility can be broken down into the main duties of preparing accounts under UK GAAP/IFRS/US GAAP, preparing monthly, quarterly, semi annual and ad-hoc management accounts. As Senior Accounting Officer you will also have to liaise with auditors and 3rd parties as necessary to facilitate accounts preparation/sign off. Finally you will manage book keeping function, undertake training of more junior staff as and when required, prioritise and monitor staff against agreed best practice deadlines.

To considered for the Senior Accounting Officer you will need to be able to point to a track record of at least three years in an accountancy supervisory role. Combined with that this well paid offshore accountancy job ideally requires a professional accounting qualification or be exempt from holding one under the Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998.
