Senior Expert Biostatistician – Permanent &#x

Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company located in Belgium and looking for a Senior Expert Biostatistician to join their R&D department and work on their product improvement alongside with the development of concepts for innovative new products.

As a Senior Expert Biostatistician in applied statistics and in applied experimental design, you will work in a team of 6 biostatisticians.

You will give an in-depth statistical and experimental design support for R&D scientists/technicians (pre-clinical studies, labs read-out, development processes, basic immunology, molecular biology, automated systems) of different company sites

Profile
• Biotechnology or bio-engineer, agronomist, biologist with DEA, DESS, DES in biostatistics or Ms in biostatistics with knowledge of biology
• 10 years of experience of intense statistical consulting for a great number of different statistical topics in a R&D environment with high variability measurement in a pharmaceutical/Biotech company
• In-depth knowledge of treatment and experimental designs, as well as response surfaces and multivariate desirability in presence of multiple constraints
• Mastering of ANOVA (nested, mixed, repeated) in complex designs and survival models
• Mastering of SAS software (Base, STAT, GRAPH, QC), PASS sample size software and at least one specialized experimental design software like Design Expert, NemrodW, Modde.
• Autonomous and able to work in some domains where there is no guidelines and procedures
• Innovative and able to think outside the box
• Able to create and pilot the change
• Customer-oriented with willingness to clearly understand biological language, aims, problems and all associated constraints
• Stress-resistant and ability to manage his/her emotions
• Ability to communicate clearly statistical/experimental design concepts to non-statisticians
• Energetic / hard worker / efficient
• Willing to share knowledge/expertise with colleagues in training or in contradictory debates
• Preferably informative communication style
• Professional attitude /conscientious with near-zero error aim in analyses and reports
• Professionally ethical and intellectually honest
• Mastering of oral and written French (language of communication for a large majority of our clients)
• Very good written English and good oral English to be able to present, answer clearly to questions and to defend a dossier in front of clients and regulatory authorities
