Our client is an international company located in the south of Brussels and active in the medical sector.
To reinforce their accounting department (shared service center) they are currently looking for an AP Accountant for their Danish organization.

Job description

The AP Accountant is responsible for the day to day accounting activities related to the Purchase to Pay tasks.

A. Day to day activities (for the countries under positions responsibility):

Verification of the incoming invoices regarding the authorization matrix set up by the
country
Verification of the employee expense reports
Posting of the incoming invoices and expense reports through the different SAP
Follow up of the blocked invoices with the purchase team
Follow up of the reminders
Perform the payment run
Ensure the payments on a timely manner via manual payments;
Perform the monthly AP reconciliation
Ensure all the controls related to SOX 404 regulations

B. Other:

Preparation of the returning of the archived invoices
Respond to ad hoc information requested by the management
Actively participate to projects linked to the position
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of day to day and closing activities
Ensure that processes procedures and controls are applied
Help on technical requests arisen by the team
Ensure work instructions remain up to date and accurate

Profile description:

Bachelor in accounting
Solid Accounting experience of 3 years or more (preferably in a shared service center)
Fluent in Danish and English (MENDATORY!!), all other European languages are assets
Good knowledge of SAP
Very good level of communication skills;
Quality and result oriented;
