PABX Technical Support

Objectives
Full time consultant to support NCSA/SMD with the following tasks. No changes to the system or its documentation shall be made without the written approval of NCSA/SMD.
a) Perform help desk services for ISAF & other NATO PABXs;
b) Perform remote fault diagnosis at ISAF & other NATO sites using the HiPath manager;
c) Carry out remote routine maintenance of ISAF & other PABXs;
c) Updating of routing tables in the NCN in step with the cut-over;
e) Updating directory tables;
f) Documentation of changes;
g) Maintain HiPath Managers Check Back Ups, performance Manager, Collecting agent.

Required Qualifications
The consultant assigned to this work must be an experienced communications engineer who has worked on the Siemens HiPath Manager for a period not less than 3 years and additionally has experience working with Siemens PABXs. He will be required to pass an interview with the PABX System Manager
 In-depth knowledge with demonstrated several years experience in network engineering of the Siemens HiPath range of digital switches (especially HiPath 4000) and the HiPath Manager, which is used to control a network of switches.
 Experience of database management with the new Hipath management platform.
 General experience in the installation, testing, integration and programming of circuit switched networks.
 Experience of UNIX system administration.
 Ability to effectively work and communicate in English.
 The consultant is required to maintain a NATO SECRET clearance with the appropriate national authority for the duration of the proposed contract.
 The consultant shall also have general experience of related communications systems such as bandwidth management systems and the techniques of ATM, Frame Relay and IP technology.
 Experience of the NATO networks and the related numbering and interfaces would be advantageous.

Security Clearance
The Consultant shall have a NATO SECRET clearance in order to work at NCSA/SMD
