Project Managers - Localization

Our client is a long-established and globally-consolidated Translation and Localization services provider, delivering leading-edge language management business solutions to enterprises in the TMT, Life Sciences and Manufacturing sectors worldwide. The Company’s on-demand web-based platform coupled with their vertical expertise and regionally-centralised multilingual operations help clients optimize global business development strategies adapted to local markets through industry best practices.

The Company currently has vacancies at their Rio de Janeiro offices for Mid-level and Senior Project Managers who, working with multiple clients, will manage client relationships and a broad spectrum of resources, meeting or exceeding client expectations by ensuring exceptional service, quality and cost efficiency on every project. Providing creative, industry, technical and tactical business solutions, the Project Managers will be expected to develop and grow those client relationships whilst achieving/exceeding expected margins.

Ideal candidates will have the following profile:

• University degree in Translation or Linguistics, Localization or Computational Linguistics
• Project Management Professional Certification (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Minimum 1 year’s experience (5 years for Senior Project Manager roles) in a project management position within a Multi-lingual Vendor or within a globalization/localization department of a multinational Company, or…
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a junior PM position
• Knowledge of management of localization projects (Translation, QA, DTP, Software/help compilation and testing; CAT, Software & Help edition, DTP, etc.; Project & Account management, Vendor Management, etc.
• Excellent understanding of diverse customer requirements, challenges, tools and processes
• Awareness of localization Industry trends and technologies
• Commercial orientation
• Strong computer skills including PC and proficiency and familiarity with Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, Internet and CAT tools.
• Ability to work within a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and peers discussing improvements, solving problems, and following through with implementing solutions.
• Excellent presentation & interpersonal skills
• Ability to transform processes to add value for the Company and clients
• Commercial, negotiating and financial skills to control costs and maximise profitability
• Ability to multi-task in a time-sensitive and deadline-driven work environment and stay cool under pressure
• Proactive and solution driven, results-oriented
• Ability to diagnose, process and transform to add value for the Company
• Skills for Project planning and P/L management
• Adaptability and flexibility in a changing work environment
• Excellent English. Other main European languages an advantage
