Our client is looking for a skilled cabinet maker to join their team at their new premise in Ditchling. As a cabinet maker you will be responsible for constructing cabinets, shelves and other bespoke wooden furniture. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in cabinetry making and have a relevant qualification. Although this is a permanent role, we may look at temporary or contract candidates.
Duties
Construct and assemble cabinets according to specifications
Install cabinets in residential or commercial spaces
Repair and refurbish existing cabinets
Measure and cut wood to the required dimensions
Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and knobs
Ensure cabinets are level and secure
Collaborate with designers and clients to create custom cabinet designs
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills
Proficient in carpentry techniques and woodworking principles
Ability to operate power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders
Knowledge of electrical work for installing lighting fixtures in cabinets
Experience with painting and finishing techniques for wooden surfaces
Ability to read blueprints and follow technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts
Proficiency in using hand tools such as chisels, planes, and screwdrivers
