Sous/Asst Chef: Indian Cuisine – Toronto - Canada

For a Premium Indian Restaurant in Toronto Canada
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 - 6 years of exp as a Chef in Indian Cuisine in a recognized Restaurant/Star Hotel.

Salary: C$1,600 - $2,000 p.m
The Indian chef has to be prepared to do a lot of work himself with a little bit of assistance. The chef has to be ready to work with his hands most of the time (as opposed to managing and directing which they may be used to in India) and do a lot of labour himself from start to finish.
Will be responsible for Purchases, Inventories, supplies and overall maintenance and upkeep of the Restaurant and the Kitchen
Bachelor accommodation and conveyance from residence to workplace shall be provided
Please note that the transport system in Canada is very deficient and expensive. Employer provided conveyance is not common and looked upon as an important point if offered by the employer.
The initial contract period will be for two years with a possibility of extending it by another 2 years.
