Hungarian Translator

GIS is actively recruiting qualified candidates to join our Translation Team who possess professional translation experience and/or education in Hungarian. The Translator will be responsible for translating the multi-site content for our company's international on-line gaming products and services.

Responsibilities:
• Translation, editing and linguistic QA of user interface, web sites, e-mails, ads, partner programs, banners, and other marketing material related to our international on-line gaming products and services.
• Participate in project execution as a representative of our Language group (including pre-production and post-production tasks), and ownership for resolving linguistic issues.
• Achieve delivery of quality translation which meets or exceeds customer's expectations and requirements; the expectations and requirements include: language quality and schedule.
• Actively provide feedback related to language aspects of localization to internal/external project teams for improvement.
• Complete the critical localization tasks for branding and imagery for new websites and products, gaming interfaces for downloadable software clients, and marketing and promotional materials (including banners) for online marketing efforts.
• Work with a group of internal/external language resources on a project basis; this includes coordination of linguistic tasks within the team, communication with the manager, providing instructions and other materials, query management, language and service quality control.
• Occasionally support the Language Specialist group with translation coordination tasks, translation memories and glossary management.

Qualifications/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics or a related discipline (Literature, Communications or Journalism) with a minimum of 1-4 years of localization and translation experience, preferably in the marketing sector.
• MUST be a Native speaker of Hungarian and fluent in English; post secondary education obtained in your Native country is preferred. Verbal and written fluency in English is required
• Able to quickly adapt to and work with new software tools, translation aid tools and content management systems.
• Experience using SDL Trados is desirable.
