Plant Superintendent Crushing/Milling

• Language – Bilingual (French, English)

• Reports to – Metallurgical Manager

• Duty – Responsible for the day to day operation of the crushing and milling operations of the Metallurgical Plant

• Under limited/general supervision this position will require the incumbent to:

o Maintain HSE standards, follow safety practices and recognize hazards
o Control sulphide crushing/milling operations
o Liaise with metallurgical staff regarding operational development
o Liaise with Mining department regarding ore types, blending and scheduling
o Ensure maintenance standards are maintained
o Evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and consumables
o Budgeting
o Maintain the working knowledge of local regulations
o Maintain staff development as well as training programs
o Perform other related duties as required

• The incumbent must:

o Have previous experience working in the subject field with a minimum of 5-7 years appropriate experience as a Plant Superintendent
o Minimum degree qualification – BSc Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering or related degree
o Be diligent and thorough in approach
o Work well in a team environment
o Possess good communication skills
o Be self motivated

• Work is in a mining environment, which may include exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, fumes and airborne particles. Necessary PPE will be provided
