Pipe Stress Design Expert

Job Role : Pipe Stress Design Expert   Categories : Employment Placement Agencies, Engineering     Job Description : Recognised as a technical expert with the ability to lead technical debate with customers and represent Rolls-Royce externally. 
Experience of proposal/bidding for large multi-discipline capital programmes would be advantageous 
Examples of using technical expertise to solve complex problems in innovative ways, 
o Authoring design reports and stress reports, 
o Substantiating or verifying design or stress reports 
Hand calculations and Design-by-Rule formulae, 
o Seismic, dynamic (waterhammer, relief valve, bursting disk, flow induced vibration) and fatigue design/analyses of piping systems. 
Experience in the following is expected: 
o Materials and components selection 
o Heat treatment techniques 
o Manufacturing techniques for piping systems 
o Materials testing 
o Authoring mechanical design specifications 
o Inspection techniques such as radiography, NDT or NDE 
o Welding procedures or specifications 
o Legislation applicable to the design of nuclear and non-nuclear pressure vessels
