Business Development Manager - Hong Kong

Our translation and interpreting business is rapidly becoming one of the largest in the world, and have a significant growing presence in Asia through our Beijing and Tokyo operations.

With an ambitious growth plan set to catapult the company into the top five Language Service Providers in the world by 2011, we are looking for an outstanding and highly motivated sales professional to expand our business in the Asia Pacific region, to be based either in Hong Kong or Tokyo.

The purpose of this role is to:

Maximize the sales revenue from new and existing clients and to develop strong and profitable business relationships
Increase, develop and diversify the client base in accordance with the company business plan.
liaise with all the appropriate departments in relation to major accounts and direct them as appropriate.

Candidate Requirements

Cantonese native speaker strongly preferred, with English to advanced business communication level
Experience of selling to clients with a 1million + spend
Minimum 2 years Business to Business Sales experience
Ability to communicate with clients and colleagues at all levels
Experience selling Professional Services

Desirable Requirements

Fluency in Mandarin and/or Japanese
Experience selling in to the Public sector
Background In Language Services
Experience of writing tenders and proposals
Fluent in other languages

The role will involve extensive travel within Asia.

Basic salary is 350,000HKD (negotiable dependant on experience), OTE of 700,000HKD.
