Desktop Support Analyst

On behalf of our multinational partner, we are looking for candidates to the position of
DESKTOP SUPPORT ANALYST
Tasks:
1. Support and Maintenance

• Answer, evaluate and prioritize requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with desktop hardware, software, networking, telecommunication, audio-visual and other IT related technologies.
• Use helpdesk software to monitor, respond and escalate user requests.
• Support, troubleshoot and assist in the maintenance of Windows operating systems including Windows XP/Vista/7
• Create and maintain Active Directory user accounts and security groups. Create and maintain Exchange user email accounts, shared mailboxes and distribution lists.
• Provide support for Blackberry devices and perform level 1 BES administration
• Perform moves, adds and changes on telephone system
• Deploy security patches and updates following global monthly patch process
• Package desktop software and applications for automated deployments
• Deploy desktop images per company standard
• Assist with maintaining asset inventory and the purchase of desktop hardware and peripherals.
• Plan and perform user desk moves.

• Perform desktop hardware and software installations and updates

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or IT related discipline is a strong advantage
• Excellent standard of spoken and written English
• 2-3 years of desktop support experience
• Thorough knowledge of troubleshooting PC hardware, software, operating systems and peripherals
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Windows operating systems including Windows XP/Vista/7
• Prior working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Office Suite
• Active Directory administration experience
• Exposure to pc virtualization technology is an advantage
