INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

Circa €50,000 plus excellent bonus

Malta

Key Responsibilities:

·         Assisting in deal execution (license applications, M&A, investments).  The work will typically be concentrated on:

o   Understanding gambling IT system requirements, legal and compliance issues, gambling operations (on and off-line) and finance

o   Helping IT, finance and operations work through systems various requirements

o   Generally administering the process (creating / gathering docs, preparing them for submission etc)

o   Due diligence

·         Evaluating new territories for potential geographic expansion and their attractiveness to my client(including systematically mapping the brandscompetition, monitoring their performance and products, monitoring and understanding market trends in the gambling world and identifying the ones that my clientcould exploit)

·         Helping to identify and screen potential partners, JV, acquisition and investment targets across the gambling and digital world and evaluate license and growth from scratch alternatives

·         Building relationships with international advisers

Experience:

·         The successful candidate will currently be in a corporate development, business development or similar role in the gambling industry and will have held this position for at least three years.

·         They will likely have had a first career in finance, consulting, IT or the legal profession.

·         They will be a strong project manager who has the capability to understand basic financial, legal and IT systems requirements and translate them into action items for dedicated specialist internal teams.

·         The successful candidate will have worked on international expansion projects for gambling companies and have experience of applying for gambling licenses in European countries.

·         They will be used to working with multiple departments to gather application information / expertise and also feeding that information to the relevant regulatory bodies.

·         Successful candidates will have great verbal and written communication skills and must be fluent in written and spoken English.

·         They will have a degree from a good university.

·         A passion for the gambling world is essential.

·         They may have some experience building gambling operations from scratch, acquiring gambling companies and investing in gambling companies.

·         The role is based fulltime in Malta (some help towards housing and travel costs will be provided) but may require infrequent international travel.
