VC Technician
Full-time opportunity
Job location: Dublin, Ireland
Required technical skills:
Videoconferencing equipment experience (e.g. Tandberg/Polycom/Sony, etc.)
Networking:
• Basic Networking troubleshooting knowledge TCP/IP, UDP, H323, H320, H324, H264, H239, H460, SIP and Audio Codecs (G711, 722, AAC-LD and Siren 14) also desirable.
• Understanding of videoconferencing over H.323/IP.
Platform:
• Solid Knowledge of Windows & Mac operating systems.
• Knowledge of Linux is desirable, not essential.
Hardware/Infrastructure:
• Tandberg/Codian/Radvision.
• MPS/MCU/MSE.
• Knowledge of Tandberg and Polycom Units.
• Infrastructure Hardware, Gatekeeper, ISDN, 3G Gateway, Bordercontroller, VCS, Content Server (IPVCR), Entry Point.
• A/V and computer cabling experience.
Other Required Skills:
• Excellent customer relations skills and professional demeanor.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with ticketing system.
• End user training experience.
• Proactive Managing bridged VC meetings.
• Agile and a strong sense of urgency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent Time management skills.
• Works well in high pressure dynamic environment.
• Good Team Player.
Preferred skills:
• Experience with Tandberg's web interface Experience with Tandberg (or Codian) Management Suite (TMS) Understanding of Gatekeepers, Gateways, MCUs (Multipoint Control Unit) & Border controllers.
• Experience with Crestron's A/V switching interface.
