Soldering Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our growing company for an experienced Soldering Technician. Based at our site in Rho (MI), you will be using your initiative to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults. You will be working with automotive modules such as ABS, instrument clusters, electronic power steering and electronic control modules sent in by our customers from all over the world.

Key responsibilities include:
• Fine hand soldering, ranging from through hole devices to 256 leg surface mount microcontrollers
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify electronic and mechanical faults
• Final testing and inspection before parts are dispatched to customer
• Working in a busy environment and to tight deadlines
• Creating and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues in the sales team and in the workshop
• Being flexible in order to take on ad hoc duties when required

The ideal candidate will have:
• Excellent fine hand soldering skills
• Experience of removing and replacing surface mount components from printed circuit boards without damaging the printed circuit board or component
• Understanding of, and experience using, diagnostic equipment such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to undertake close and detailed working
• High levels of motivation
• A stable work history
• The ability to converse in both English and Italian
• An interest in cars and the automotive industry

• A salary of around 25,000 euros (depending on experience)

BBA-Reman has been operating for eleven years. Our core business is remanufacturing, mainly in the automotive field. We fault find, repair and test various electronic items before returning the repaired products to the customer. The company started in Kent, UK where our head office remains today. Over the past decade the company has continued to grow, at a rate of 40% a year for the last eleven years, both in the UK and around the world. We now have sites in the USA, Germany, France, Italy and India, and more operations are planned for the future.
