Introduction: To work for a major international Investment company Job description The real estate Financial Controllerwill be responsible for the accounting records and administrative matters of the Fund(s): reporting, legal, regulatory, treasury, management and acquisitions. Their responsibilities will be the following: - Implementing appropriate accounting policies as directed by the Fund Controller - Ensuring that the appropriate accounting treatment papers are prepared and filed and that the accounting and tax reporting time tables agreed with investors, banks and other stake holders are respected - Managing reporting relationships with Hines offices and/or third party service providers - Ensuring that every regulatory / statutory reporting is completed, reviewed and filed on time - Managing external audit processes to satisfactory conclusions - Liaising with the Fund Controller, the legal department and the tax department regarding the different matters they deal with - Providing the Fund accounting team with clear directions over the accounting for acquisitions and disposals - Managing and reviewing the preparation of regular liquidity forecasts - Managing the preparation and execution of all intra-group financing documents required complying with tax or other advice received - Managing and supervising the Fund accounting team and providing direction as required - Managing the charts of account of the accounting and consolidation systems - Understanding and organizing training and development needs Who we are looking for - You are ACCA or CPA qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum of 6 years experience working in an international accounting environment either in public practice or industry - You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and another European language - You have a deep knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS - You have the ability to understand complex financial and corporate structures - You are able to meet deadlines and continually reassess priorities for the Fund accounting team - You possess strong interpersonal and supervisory skills - You are familiar with Excel and general accounting programs
