Marketing Manager

THE JOB

The Marketing Manager is required to work closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure the smooth running of the Commercial function within the European organisation. Primarily the Marketing Manager will take responsibility for lead qualification, commercial coordination and reporting, and business development. The Marketing Manager is required to work proactively in an organised and consistent manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

*Conduct market research to support the development of future pipeline.
*Work in liaison with Customer Relationship and Sales teams to ensure follow up.
*Prepare and deliver local promotions as directed by Global Brand Development Manager.

Commercial Coordination

*Trial Follow Up
oDevelop existing processes and systems for a more effective approach to trail follow up.
oDevelop and maintain appropriate reports for review.
oEnsure business consistently 'close' to all potential sales.
oEnsure follow up is not left / forgotten.

*Cost Monitoring and Support
oSupport achievement of commercial budget via monitoring, control and regular communication with sales and technical service teams in areas such as communication, travel and other expenses. Liaise where appropriate with controllers department.

*General Travel Co-ordination / Optimisation
oDeveloping supplier relationships and agreements in areas such as hotels and car hire.

*Monitoring / Support Commercial Admin Systems
oEnsure all systems administration such as meeting minutes are completed by RAM's within time frames set by Commercial Manager.
oSupport / coordinate achievement but not to complete on behalf of RAM's.

*Facilitate / Organise Commercial Meetings
oFacilitate monthly PDR via video conference with operations SMT.
oFacilitate monthly individual reviews between Commercial Manager and RAM's.
oOrganise annual sales meeting.
oTake minutes as required by Commercial Manager.

*Report Writing / Presentation Control
oFull responsibility for integrity of commercial electronic and paper based filing systems.

*Training Co-ordination / Delivery
oSupporting Human Resources Coordinator - Employee Maintenance to ensure appropriate processes followed to develop commercial teams.
oOrganise / facilitate cross functional team building activities.
oAgree product knowledge development plan and facilitate delivery.

*Review Co-ordination / Preparation
oLiaise with Human Resources Coordinator - Employee Maintenance, Commercial Manager and CommTech Operations Manager to ensure all commercial team members receive annual reviews (sales and technical service).

*Facilitate Periodic Review
oFacilitate periodic formal review with the other CMG subsidiaries.
oFacilitate quarterly video conference with Commercial Manager's from each subsidiary.

*IT System Liaison
oManage commercial IT / system development and ensure timely project delivery.

Commercial Reporting

*Develop a defined list of reports and ensure they are available for review at appropriate meetings.
*Ensure consistent and timely reporting.
*Generate and issue weekly updates.
*Generate and issue LQS KPI's / report monthly.
*Generate and issue Sales KPI's / report monthly.
*Generate and issue Sales Variance report monthly.

Business Development

*Develop weekly forecasting on key products / projects in liaison with purchasing / operations.

*Organise, schedule and host customer visits to CommTech (and where relevant Knowsley) with particular focus on developing the ABD business.

*Organise appropriate corporate entertainment.

*Support annual and 3-5 year budgeting processes
oAction plans to meet / beat budget
oLiaison with controllers department

REQUIREMENTS

*Excellent written and spoken English and one more European language.
*Educated to bachelor level in related field.
*Previous experience working within either the chemical or plastics industry.
*Previous experience within a sales driven marketing environment.
*Excellent commercial knowledge and understanding.
*In possession of a current valid passport and driving license.
*Ability to work independently and use initiative.
