Java Developer

We are looking for a Java developer for one of our clients who is a price and product comparison site and is part of a holding with branches in various European countries.

Job Description

The JAVA Developer will participate in the development team (6 ? 8 FTE) that?s working on optimizing our solutions and expanding our solutions portfolio.

Main activity is developing new functionalities, bug fixing and documentation.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Maintain and improve software portfolio
• JAVA/J2EE software Development
• Participate in Research activities
• Development

- Help to identify detailed requirements

- Create module system specifications

- Coding

- Code maintenance

- Fault resolution

• Develops part of the solution to be provided
• Develops in line with agreed specifications, plans and procedures
• Test and resolve functionality problems with pre-released software
• Create or update existing development documentation

Job Requirements

• Bachelor or University degree in IT
• Worked already in an e-business environment
• Minimal 3 years of working experience with J2EE / JAVA software development
• Minimum of 3 years IT experience,
• Very good verbal and written skills in both Dutch and English
• Advanced knowledge of JAVA/J2EE
• Knowledge of:

- Design Patterns

- Tomcat

- Hibernate

- JUnit

- Spring

- Ant/Maven

- XML

- JSP

• Experience with CVS
• Experience with UML
• Knowledge with MySQL & Apache
