Test / QA Engineer

The Test Engineer is responsible for overall product quality and quality of products received from external parties. Specifically this means responsibility for the test strategy, test plans, regression test, security test, performance test, stress test, scalability test, supporting user test and automated testing. Besides these core activities its important to have an efficient and effective testing organisation with clear, complete and timely reporting to the IT Manager. The standard testing approach used is TMap with an additional attention point on software development process support (for example co-ordination of code reviews). The last responsibility of the Test Engineer is a continues check of the performance of all live systems and reporting to the IT Manager.

Your home base is the head office in Utrecht, the Netherlands (next-door to the Central Station).

Responsibilities and Tasks
-Developing/ maintaining testing procedures
Creating and maintaining testing procedures and make sure these procedures are part of all projects and software.
-Quality standards
Develop and maintain quality standards for IT projects and live systems. These quality standards should be integrated in all IT processes.
-Documentation
Prepare all different tests with the proper templates and documentation. All test results should also be properly documented. The documentation has to be archived properly.
-Reporting
Regular reporting regarding tests of projects, SR?s and live systems. For reporting templates will be used and kept up-to-date for present needs.
-Testing
The test engineer is responsible for performing tests including planning and reporting. For all tests a clear approach will be defined and processed as planned.

Education / Experience
- A Bachelor or University degree
- Minimal 3 years testing working experience
- Fluent in English. Skilled in Dutch is very much appreciated
- Experience with web development
- Experience with MS Office
- Experience with Linux, Apache, MySql, JAVA
- Experience with (automated) testing tools and reporting tools
- Experience with TMAP
