Obs and Gynae Specialist Consultant for Medical Recruitment in New Zealand

Medical Recruitment of OBGYN Specialist

Our client has a medical recruitment vacancy for a permanent Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant to join our dedicated team of 4 Specialists, 2 Registrars and 2 Senior House Officers.

There are approximately 1300 births per year here and a further 200-300 in the rural areas. The department consists of a 14 room maternity unit with 4 birthing rooms, a level two, 5 cot neonatal unit and a dedicated Woman's Health unit. The service is supported by a team of experienced midwives, obstetric, gynaecology and colposcopy nurses.

Educational development is a priority with daily obstetric tutorials and weekly teaching sessions. The department is accredited for O&G training by RANZCOG and is affiliated to a highly respected School of Medicine.

Applicants must have completed their specialist training and have, or be eligible to obtain vocational registration with Medical Council of New Zealand.

You will never be disappointed you took this opportunity by the horns! This is what other doctors have told us

* Staff say they enjoy working here because they are big enough to see a broad range of clinical activity and have an impressive range of state-of-the art technology, yet its still small enough to remain friendly and personable.
* they offer a range of University, new graduate and accredited medical royal college training programmes, but unlike many larger institutes, the junior staff can be sure they will actually gain quality, practical experience as well as access to supportive, more experienced staff during their time here.
* The broad range of clinical activity is ideally suited to "generalists" and health professionals seeking variety and a range of experience, yet the hospital is still big enough for you to develop your sub-specialty interest areas with the work that is seen.
*
Its also just the right size for innovative ideas to be readily heard and put into practice, without the endless politics of larger institutes creating ongoing delays and frustration.
