Chief Accountant

For our Client, an international producer of well-known branded consumer goods, we are looking for a passionate professional, exceptionally knowledgeable in accounting and tax issues, for the position of

CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
Warsaw

The role:

-To ensure the completeness and correctness of the accounts in compliance with the Polish accounting regulations and group guidance,
-To prepare statutory reporting and yearly financial statements,
-To provide the board with a reliable tax advice and guidance and to be a leader in terms of tax optimization,
-To manage and permanently improve the company's accounting processes and to position the accounting team as a valuable business partner to internal departments,
-To participate in design, implementation and execution of the internal controls,
-To cooperate with the bank, tax authorities, auditors, etc.,
-To manage work of a small team,
-To lead and/or participate in the group projects within accounting.

Your profile:

-About 3-6 years of experience in a senior accountancy role in the international environment, preferably in a commercial company,
-Profound knowledge of the Polish accounting and tax regulations, including VAT and CIT,
-Fluent command of English,
-Good knowledge of SAP,
-Certificate of the Ministry of Finance would be an asset as well as knowledge of commercial code,
-University degree in accounting or finance,
-Self-starter with a can-do attitude, well organized and able to work efficiently in a demanding business environment,
-Able to make decisions and take responsibility and to enforce the necessary compliance with regulations over the company,
-Positive attitude, excellent communication skills and operational standards,
-Willing to develop into new areas like controlling.
