Qualified Accountant for the Middle East.

Company: Our client is a leading European Engineering and Consulting company specializing in projects for the Oil and Gas Industry. They are currently working on projects in the Middle East (Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE and Bahrain), Russia and China. A new opportunity exists for a qualified Accountant to work in Saudi Arabia.

Role: As a financial accountant, you will be responsible for the implementation and supervision of the company business plan. Reporting to the financial controller, your tasks in this role involve prepare the month-end management accounts and statutory books, co-operation in the formulation of the financial and commercial policies and procedures of the organization, review and elimination of unnecessary costs in order to maximize the company benefits. You will be responsible for preparing and verifying the accuracy of journal entries, perform research and analyze financial data. You will calculate and perform payments, verify documentation and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. You will also be in charge of the payroll tasks.

Skills: An accounting qualification from the ACCA or similar institution is required! You need a strong knowledge of accounts software systems, preferably Pegasus.You have work experience in a Shared Service in an international environment. Furthermore you are well able to cope with stress and are committed to success. Keywords you can identify with are: Teamwork, Customer focus, Ownership and Initiative. Due to the international character a fluency in English is required and an extra European language a definite pre!
