Are you an IT manager or you want to be an IT manager

A hospital manager does NOT need to be a great brain surgeon to be a successful hospital Manager! A hospital manager's main job function is to MANAGE the hospital and its staff, not to treat patients or operate on them himself. But of course he has to have sound medical knowledge.
In fact, if a doctor is a brilliant neurosurgeon, then it is a BIG WASTE to make him a hospital manager! If he's a great surgeon then the best use of his skill is keep him as a surgeon!!

In the same way, your main job as an IT MANAGER is to MANAGE the IT department! Not to write programming code, configure routers, ... etc.
You do NOT have to be a brilliant programmer, great network engineer, ... etc to be a successful IT manager. (Of course you need to have sound IT knowledge, and to learn new technologies that your company could utilize.)

The problems is this: most IT managers I know do not know anything about management! They try to improve their careers and secure their jobs by learning new programming languages, getting some technical certification, ... etc!!! They become better technicians but remain LOUSY MANAGERS!!

If you are an IT manager and you want to SECURE YOUR JOB, and learn skills and knowledge you need as an IT manager, or you are an IT professional and you want to further your career to BE AN IT MANAGER, and you you want to HAVE GREAT ADVANTAGE over other IT managers and IT professionals, then drop me a line so I could send you info about great certification programs that are affordable and effective to help you be the best IT MANAGER you could be and set yourself apart from other IT professionals.

Regards.
