Title Quality Assurance Manager

Reporting to Project Services Director

Description of Project Function The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the processes needed for Quality Management for EPC are established, implemented and maintained.

The QA Manager will report directly to the Project Services director on the Quality Control performance of all Ilembe committed sub-contracts and ME&I Specialist packages. A key element of the role will be to drive consistency and compliance across all committed sub-contractors’ Quality Plans.

In addition to the above, the QA manager will work within the Project Services team to increase Quality awareness, provide training on the running of the Quality System and to carry out internal audits thereof.

Key Responsibilities 1. Responsible for maintenance and updating of the Project Quality Plan and key Quality Assurance Procedures
2. Responsible for Non-conformance register & NCR record forms & administration Responsible for the compilation and maintenance of all Ilembe standard forms & templates relating to QA Procedures
3. Responsible for the review and monitoring of all sub-contract and ME&I specialist Quality plans; the revision of those plans and the adherence thereto
4. Responsible for the QA audit schedule and conducting all internal Quality Audits
5. Responsible for Quality Training & Awareness Schedule
6. Assist with establishment of the Handover Documentation procedure, including the compilation of all certificates of completion and handover to the Employer
7. Responsible for Feedback from the Employer and the facilitation of all Ilembe sub-contracts during Employer audits
8. Assist with Management review of Project Quality Plan and QA procedures
Key Skills • Experienced in the delivery of construction projects
• Fully aware of all ISO standards and requirements
• Ability to lead other teams in the development, implementation and reporting of their Quality plans
• Excellent communicator and a team player
• Strong process adherence mentality – disciplined attitude toward procedures
• Able to provide high standard information within tight deadlines
• Proactive interaction & ability to influence others
• Good IT skills to work with large quantities of data and spreadsheets
