SERVER TEAM/ POOL ENGINEER
 Responsible for Enterprise Dell server
 Management of Dell servers using specialized software tools like Dell’s Open manage server Assistant, IT Assistant
 Configuration and Management of Dell Power Edge RAID Controller (PERC) Configuration of Hard disk RAID 0,RAID 1 AND 5, RAID rebuild using special Dell tools like Dell Array manage console by hot swapping HDDs
 Installation Management and maintenance of Tape Backup device (DDS4,DLT1,4000,7000,8000,Super DLTs and LTOs)
 Ensure the smooth running of day to day activities of pool Engineers
 Weekly back-up of vital data using veritas netback up
 Liaise with pool support engineers to resolve incident
 Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out on Top desk application software used for call incident at Guinness, Cadbury and in-house
 Provide feedback to walk-in customers on status of incident
 Establish call classification , prioritization and escalation rules for pool support engineers
 Prepare weekly and monthly reports for decision making
 Providing hardware support, installation, repairs and maintenance. First point of contact for client experiencing any type of computer or network related problems, offered on site support. Ensure that software and drivers are kept up to date. Continually researching anything that might improve customers’ network performance, productivity and reliability
 Administered networks using TCP/IP,IPX//SPX network protocols, installed , configured and administered various Microsoft operating system, office suits: Win9x, NT server/Workstation/Win 2000/Win XP/Win 2000 server/Win 2003 server and Office2000.XP and 2003
 Maintained and troubleshoot computer system ( Branded Hpcompaq and Dell Desktops & Laptops of various model and clone systems)
 Maintained Peripherals: Printers, Ups, Monitor etc
 Ability to troubleshoot, resolve and verify with litter or no assistance and computer based operating system incidents (Windows platform) or Hardware
 Installation, configuration and support of Dell and Hpcompaq and other Desktops
 Installation, configuration and support of Dell and Hpcompaq and other Laptops
 Installation of Active Directory on Win 2000 and 2003 server, for monitoring user account
 Installation and Implementation of Enterprise Project Management
 Installation of Share porters
 Ensure that all incident and problem are resolved and closed within the stimulated time started in service level agreements
 Data recovery and protection by using Get data back and easy recovery software
