The company is a leading provider of mission-critical, non-core Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Information Technology solutions to blue-chip clients worldwide.

The company has a rapidly growing presence in Europe, Middle East and Africa, with over 2,000 specialists employed in the region. Their current projects centralize and redesign the core processes around Human Resources, Finance and Administration and IT for the company's European clients.

A vacancy has arisen at the company’s Barcelona offices for a Finance & Accounting Supervisor. Supervising a team of up to 20 people, the jobholder will be responsible for:

• Directing, overseeing or managing the development, modification, review and implementation of accounting systems, reporting methods and controls, policies and procedures.
• Formulating and administering approved accounting practices throughout the organization to ensure that financial and operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business.
• Training personnel in accounting procedures, theories and reporting requirements.
• Providing direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.
• Providing direct supervision to professional individual contributors and/or skilled, support individual contributors. Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees.
• Resolving and reviewing issues affecting Company compliance, legal requirements and customer/company objectives. Acts as advisor to unit or sub-units and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems.
• Overseeing the preparation, submission and validity of all division or business unit financial reports or fiscal records as required by top management.
• Working on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors, exercising judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action.
• Advising management on issues related to compliance and legal regulations.
• Directing and providing or assisting in providing strategic direction for the accounting function of a division or business-operating unit.
• Recommending changes to unit or sub-unit policies.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field.
• 5 years of experience in Accountancy, Finance or Administration.
• 3 years of experience in managing teams.
• English advanced (spoken and written).
• Fluent French spoken and written advantageous
