ACCOUNTANT WITH EXPERIENCE IN SPAIN

-Reconcile activity recorded in the general ledger with independent source documentation/ supporting sub-ledger systems to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data,

-Analyze account activity to identify corrections and reclassifications,

-Process journal entries and gather supporting documentation for all entries,

-Perform the analysis behind the journal entries,

-Various month-end tasks, including recording and monitoring key accrual categories,

-Play an instrumental role in improving existing processes through process change or automation,

-Assist with SAP ERP implementation and on-going master data maintenance,

-Assist with preparation of tax schedules, tax reports and returns,

-Review the Accounts Payable activity for accuracy based on established policies and procedures,

-Participate in the preparation of the Annual Accounts and other reporting duties as required,

-Assist in other finance functions as needed (fixed assets, taxes, treasury). Cross train in other functions to provide support for others on the Finance team.

Qualifications
-Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance
-Experience with the Spanish GAAP,
-Intermediate/high level of English,
-Strong Excel skills
-Some knowledge of IFRS and SOx

Experience
-3 years of experience in fast paced general Spanish accounting department,
-Auditing experience is a plus,
-Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems experience is highly preferred.
