Help us translate this application

Posted on 21/07/08 in Jobs: Translators in Madrid (Barrio de Salamanca)

We are trying to make our services available to more people. Can you help? The work involved is two/three days translation (can be done part time and spread over a longer period). Out of preference, you will be able to come to our office (Ofc 115, Calle Maldonado 55, Madrid 28006, Spain) to learn how to use the system where the translation needs to happen, but not all of the work would need to be done here.

We're most interested in the following languages (see the bottom of the page for the languages we already have):

- Any EU language we do not currently have
- Turkish
- Mandarin
- Arabic
- Japanese
- Hindi
- Malay/Indonesian

We don't have any keyboards available for non-Western character sets, so we can only consider these if you have a laptop or other way of entering text.

You should be a native speaker of the target translation language, be educated to degree level, be able to write correctly and be an keen Internet user. Unfortunately, we can only pay €100 for the work (Facebook is asking people to help them out for free and they have tons of cash, we're poor, go figure). However, you will also get credited on the site and feel a warm feeling inside that you have helped your fellow language speakers out.
