Translator

Dear Sirs!

My name is Zhanna Sokova. I would like to present you my Curricula Vitae.
Since my present position offers little prospect for advancement, I would prefer to be employed in an expanding organization such as yours. I feel that my experience in this field would be used to its full capacity in position of translator.
I appreciate the opportunity to work in your company and I would like to take a certain amount of responsibilities.

Since I graduated from the University, I have been working for different companies in Kazakhstan. I had my first experience as a translator in JSC Varavarinskoye that deals with construction of gold and copper plant. My responsibilities there included written and oral translation. I worked on site as a translator for the following department:
Construction Department
Safety Department
Mining Department
I had to translate welding, safety and assembling procedures, as well as concrete poring and procedure of backfilling and blinding.
Then I worked as a teacher at the University on the Faculty of Linguistic and Translation. Later I was invited by Petro-Canada Company (Kostanai brunch, the main office is in Canada). I had position of office manager and translator (written). Mainly I had to translate different manuals, books, letters and official papers, but the main Vocabulary consisted of different types of Lubricants (the origin, quality and usage) and technical terms like valve, piston, vane etc.

At present time I work for Agip KCO IQ-centre as an instructor of the English language. I like this job, but I feel more to be translator, that’s why I apply to you to get the position of translator.
