Application specialist

My client; a world leader in the technical services provision market currently has an exciting opportunity for an Application specialist. This is a permanent position to be based in Hampshire.

The purpose of your role is to Design, implement and support Application projects for my client's customers. While advising on technical solutions that best fit the customers by keeping up to date with the market.

Your duties will include:

*Primary responsibility for meeting the technical needs of PLM and Primavera deployment projects.
*Third line escalation to other application teams.
*Design and implement technical solutions.
*Manage project delivery to the customer.
*Produce support and hand over documentation to the Operations team.
*Advise and assist the Operations teams to provide an improved service to the customer.
*Keep abreast of technical products and solutions that could benefit customers.
*Produce technical proposals for new solutions.
*Complete planned project tasks.
*Manage problems that have been escalated and coordinate the effort required to resolve the issue.
*Assisting Operational support teams when required.
*Designing solutions that best fit the customers request then implement the designed solutions in a cost effective and timely manor.
*Identify opportunities to enhance the service delivery processes.

Your technical skills MUST include the following:

*Working Knowledge of at least 2 popular Applications (to include Installation & support) e.g. Windchill, Teamcenter, Primavera, ilog, Artemis, Cognos.
*Script writing Skills in either DOS/Unix.
*Experience in Web server technologies.
*Thin Client technologies (Citrix) - Citrix server, Primavera server and plug-in. applications.
*Experience in Database technologies (Oracle, SQL sever or MS Access).
