Project Quality Manager - £450million Heavy Civils Project

A Project Quality Manager is needed by one of the world most prestigious Main Contractors to work on a £450million project in the Essex area

Remuneration:
£45,000 - £50,000 per annum plus benefits

Essex

The client:
Our client is an award winning, international civil engineering and construction Main Contractor that has secured over £2bn of project wins in the last year, clearly a world leader in their field.

The role:
The successful candidate will be expected to: (not limited to)
" Co-ordinate development, implementation, and maintenance of the Project Management System based on Company Business Management System and project requirements
" Ensure that the detailed procedures implement the Project Quality Management Systems; reviewing and evaluating these systems and procedures for adequacy and effectiveness.
" Assist in the development of project quality plans
" Assist in the development and implementation of Inspection, Test and Commissioning Plans
" Undertake quality inspections and audits
" Provide project improvement and engender cultural/behavioural change
" Providing assistance to and working with project management and subcontractors in developing and maintaining the detailed procedures and instructions necessary to correctly implement the project quality system and project requirements
" Providing an independent channel of communication on quality related problems, initiating necessary project action to resolve deficiencies and ensuring satisfactory solutions have been achieved
" Authorise, stop work action until acceptable solutions to identified deficiencies have been obtained
" Planning and performing audits and to carry out an overview analysis of project quality related activities
" Management review of the Project Management System
" Liaise with client quality representative to ensure all client requirements are adequately met.

Requirements:
HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent
IRCA QMS Lead Auditing Course
Through knowledge of ISO 9001
Ideally 10+ years in Quality Management
Main Contractor background
Civil Engineering project experience (Heavy Civils preferred)
Member of Institute of Quality Assurance is highly desirable but not essential
