Role Overview
The Municipal and Environmental Infrastructure Team is made up of 35 professional staff and 6 support staff. The team regularly liaises with lawyers, credit managers and other administrative areas of the Bank.
MEI is a dynamic and growing sector team within the Bank providing financing for infrastructure projects (water, wastewater, district heating, urban transport, housing and other locally provided services) across all the countries of the Bank's operations, from Croatia to Mongolia. The team has an annual business volume of approx. EUR 250-300 million, its total portfolio reached EUR 1.8 billion by the end of 2006.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
*Keeping diaries, arranging internal and external meetings, seminars, conferences; receiving visitors.
*Making travel arrangements including booking hotels, ordering currency and arranging visas.
*Producing and processing travel expenses; maintaining detailed records.
*Typing reports, letters, memoranda. Photocopying.
*Drafting routine correspondence, sending faxes and emails.
*Assisting with preparation of Operations Committee and Board documents -keeping up to date with procedures for circulation of these documents, proofreading, formatting to tight deadlines.
*Setting up, maintaining and monitoring filing systems, including ProjectLink, for Operations to ensure instant retrieval.
*Screening and sorting of mail in order of priority for Manager as required.
*Screening of telephone calls, taking messages and passing on as appropriate.
*Where possible responding to and dealing independently with internal and external project queries.
*Preparing presentation slides (using Powerpoint).
*Preparing and organising required materials for internal and external meetings.
*When necessary providing secretarial support for team's Bankers when they visit London from the Resident Offices.
*Monitoring emails in Manager's absence
*Ad hoc secretarial/administrative duties as required.

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications
*Knowledge of a Central or Eastern European language, especially Russian and/or Ukrainian, would be an advantage.
*55 wpm Typing.
*Computer Literate: Windows XP: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
*Knowledge of SAP would be useful.
*Good knowledge of Banking Department's procedures and Bank Applications would be an advantage.
*Excellent organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative.
*Good communication skills, including pleasant and efficient telephone manner.
*Ability to prioritise and schedule own work.
*Attention to detail and eye for accuracy.
*Good timekeeping.
