Description: The British government is funding a research project to employ and support Social Pedagogues and Pedagogues in England. Jacaranda is the official partner responsible for recruiting 30 staff for the project.

Contracts are for 2 years working with children who have a range of difficulties. Anchor Avenue is home to a maximum of four young people aged 11 – 17 at any given time. It is specifically designed for children who require long term placements in children’s home. This means that the young people can benefit from not having so much coming and going of other young people who may need placements for much shorter periods of time. There are currently 2 male and 2 female residents all aged 14 and 15 years old. They all see Anchor Avenue very much as their home.

You will:
• have a special induction week (the English system, English language course)
• work with other German/Danish Social Pedagogues as well as British colleagues
• have regular support from the Institute of Education, University of London
• take part in an annual conference to inform the British children’s sector
• benefit from an e-network support group
• gain VERY GOOD experience for your Curriculum Vitae
• be given £1,000 relocation expenses
• Accommodation costs for interviews will be paid
