Defect Manager for CPS, using the HPQC toolset.

Job Description:
The job is the defect manager for the client programme based in Blackpool. Experience required in the following – Defect Management processes, or Test Team Leading. HP Quality Centre also required.
Duties will include :•

Overall Objectives:
• To deliver overall defect management for the client programme using existing HP QC tools
• To liaise with various teams (development, test, etc) in order to ensure the defect management process is executed and to report and escalate where it is not.
• To support the Test Director/Manager/Test Lead in providing timely and accurate information on the state of the programme defects

Main Responsibilities:

• Chairing the daily defect meeting
• Producing appropriate defect reports in a timely manner.
• Analysis of reports.
• Delivering the defect management process (already existing in the programme)
• Facing into the various teams responsible for delivery – test, development, requirements, client.
• Provide testing metrics during the testing stages     
• Should be flexible in working.

Skill
Defect Management or Test Team Leading with a minimum of 2 years experience required – Experienced
HP QC with at least 1 years experience
Accountancy experience
Working knowledge of Unix operating system and file management

Qualifications & certifications:

ISEB Foundation certification in testing would be desirable
