Dutch Accounts Payable

Position Objective:

To assist with the Accounts Receivable, credit and banking functions for allocated ledgers. The role involves cash allocations plus collections, reconciling control accounts, banking and invoicing and would suit a candidate with excellent rapport building ability, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to achieve the desired results. Cover will also be required to be carried out for other AR staff periodically, where language skills allow.

Essential Functions:

Recording Bank Receipts ensuring remittances obtained where necessary. Ensuring sufficient documentation maintained to trace transactions and maintain bank reconciliation.

Proactively contact customers with regard to outstanding debt to ensure invoice processing and payment has been scheduled; plan and prioritize customer calls each month to maximise collections.

Work with team leader to determine when accounts should be placed on hold, monitor accounts placed on hold and release when payment is received if appropriate, check credit limits and assess if credit checks need to be done; liaise with other departments and communicate credit hold decisions

Maintain collector customer and invoice logs with status updates on EuroAR database.

Review unapplied cash report on a regular basis.

Run statements and reminders when required.

Prepare Monthly reconciliations A/R control, debtors suspense, customer deposits, bank accounts etc.

Visit customers as required.

May perform other related duties as required.

Experience Required

Preferably a minimum of two years related experience including working within a busy Accounts Receivable function, dealing with Public and Commercial customers. Must demonstrate excellent computer skills, proficiency with MS Office suite required, particularly MS Excel. Proven attention to detail and accuracy required.
