Planning Manager Civil Engineering

Would you like to play a key role in the implemenation and Planning of a major project that will leave a lasting legacy across Scotlands central belt ?

The Role / Project: Planning Manager.
The role is to take up a Senior position within the Planning Team to ensure the Tender and Contract planning within the Civil Engineering section of this global contractor is well managed. Experience of planning in a recognised civil engineering company is required, preferably with good exposure to Highways, Tunnels and Infrastructure projects. The Software tool used here is Primavera or CS Project and experience of this would be highly beneficial.
The ideal candidate would have proven experiemvce as a manager of other Planners and have excellent leadership qualities.

The initial scope of the work is to re-open part of a previously used line and upgrade services to allow a much greater capacity between major cities in Scotland. The value is in the 100's of Millions and will create a much needed transport link across Scotland's central belt.

The ability to communicate at all levels is essential, you must be confortable talking to either Engineers on site as well as Senior Client contacts.

The location:
Bathgate or Edinburgh.

The money:
£50,000 - £55,000 + Car Allowance (£5,500), Fuel Allowance, Pension, HealthCare, Profit Related Bonus, Mobile Phone and Laptop, Relocation Costs if required, 26 Days Annual Leave, 40 Hours per week.

Minimum Requirements:
Previous experience as either Principal Planner or Planning Manager for a major UK Contractor
Previous Civil Engineering Project Planning experience.
HNC or equivalent Civil Engineering qualification
