Job Title: Credit Controller - German Speaking

The Role
This is a key role providing a seamless and value-added service to Verizon Business customers by facilitating the cash collection process, improved cash flow activities, reducing aged debts, and providing a positive customer experience.
As a Collections Analyst you will handle inbound enquiries from customers from the German region in response to running and late payment reminders, ensuring the timely collection of overdue revenues, as well as taking a proactive approach to relationship building, customer management and issue resolution.

The Department
CORPORATE FUNCTIONS
Professionals in this business unit support the business operations of the company. Areas of responsibility include accounting, communications, finance, human resources, information technology, legal, and external affairs and marketing.

Education and Experience
Responsibilities
- Collection of outstanding invoices from customers within the agreed credit terms. Also collection and resolution of aged debt in order to reduce the operational DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
- Develop existing business relationships both with external customers and throughout the organisation in order to resolve issues and maximise cash collection.
-Performs pre-sale credit risk assessment and evaluation including financial statement analysis and analysis of data obtained from credit services companies.
-Prepares recommendations and makes credit approval decisions on new accounts.
-Monitor billed and unbilled accounts against agreed credit limits. Awareness of changes to the risk profiles of customers.
- Validation and timely transition of accounts through service suspension, reconnection and disconnection ensuring accurate, correct treatment and data integrity throughout the process.
- To ensure that all activities undertaken are completed in line with our internal controls and published processes.

The Individual
- 2 years credit control experience but strong candidates will still be considered
- General understanding of order to cash process
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and German
- A proven ability to operate in a busy, multi-task environment using high attention to detail and a logical approach to problem solving
- Willingness to learn and to be part of a team
- Demonstrable skills interpreting and fully understanding a range of written and numerical information
- Knowledge or experiences within telecommunications an advantage but not a prerequisite.
