Job Title: Senior Surveyor, Agency (Business Space/ Investment/ Retail & Leisure)

Summary:

This position will report directly to Equity, Salaried or Associate Partner.

Our Client is a leading real estate adviser. The Company provides acquisition, disposal, management and consultancy services to corporates, landlords, tenants, owner-occupiers, public sector clients, developers and investors, nationwide.

Our Client opened its original office in Frimley over 25 years ago and has an enviable record in terms of its local knowledge and involvement with many of the major commercial developments in the area. The Company has expanded to nine offices in the UK, and is in the process of entering the European market.

Main goal for this role is to provide a professional, pro-active and technically expert service which delivers excellent customer service thereby maximising income opportunities and ensuring customer loyalty and the good reputation of the Company. To maximise own potential and contribute to the overall achievement of the Business Plan.

Responsibilities:

Dimensions (scope and responsibilities):
• Manages own workload with little supervision and is responsible for significant number of instructions at any one time including mix of type of property for rental/disposal
• Some focus on acquisition market
• Responsible for meeting own personal and professional objectives including own fee income target agreed annually with line manager which reflects role, discipline & location
• Some focus on business development for self and others
• Good external professional image and presence on relevant business forums and known internally across other offices
• Manage other staff where appropriate

• Existing customer base (clients, interested parties, etc).
• Other local, regional and London Agents
• Contractors and/or other Professionals working on projects.
• Agency colleagues across the company and all colleagues within own office.
• Marketing Department
• Brochure and Board suppliers
• Local and National Press advertisers
• Local business groups

Requirements:

Candidate profile:

Knowledge:
• In-depth knowledge of local area and property market including, Local rateable values; Understanding of leasing; Types of property/ stock in market;
• Geographical knowledge
• Good working knowledge of Code of Conduct, rules and regulations for RICS and other relevant professional bodies.
• Current conveyancing and other relevant legislation.
• Good general knowledge and awareness of the property market including Competitor activity
• Current good market practice
• Excellent technical knowledge

Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of having previously operated at same level for significant competitor with some time spent in Agency departments (4 to 5 years experience in total)
• Involvement in marketing of wide range of properties

Whilst not essential for role Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) or other surveying qualification e.g. Diploma is desirable (willingness to study is encouraged).
Current and full driving licence and/or other means of mobility.
