Salary £28,515 – £31,446 depending on experience

Qualification Qualified Social Worker – with GSCC registration possible

THE EMPLOYER AND THE WORK
This is a local government employer and your work would be to provide assessment and care
management services to adults with learning disabilities. You would offer support to clients and their
families and work with health professionals.

You will assess, develop and work to care plans, review and monitor efficiency and effectiveness of
services provided to your clients by other organisations. Report writing is an essential part of the work.

You will contribute to the development of the service and be creative with your ideas for the future of the
service.

You will be passionate about promoting independence and the development of services. Your job will be, among other things, to identify needs of service users, complete Community Care Assessments, arrange Care Packages and organise services to support your service users. The goal is to help residents out of residential care and into alternatives.

THE REQUREMENTS
• Good written and spoken English
• Knowledge or willingness to learn about learning disabilities (http://www.dh.gov.uk/en/SocialCare/Deliveringadultsocialcare/Learningdisabilities/DH_079430)
• Willing to learn about and work with the relevant English laws and legislation
• Willing to work with budgets
• Ability to conduct assessments of need
• Willing to work for at least 2 years
• Driving licence and willingness to drive in the UK (on the left!)
