Location: San Jose, CA

Primary responsibilities will be centered around the Microsoft Exchange environment which will consist of design, implementation and maintenance. This position will act as 3rd level support for desktop issues. The ideal candidate will also have expert knowledge in Exchange 2003. In addition, will help manage the full technical environment including systems administration responsibilities across a wide array of technical services.

Essential Job Functions

Administer and support multi-site Microsoft Exchange 2003 (and beyond) organization in order to meet and maintain appropriate service levels.

Job Requirements

• Must have 5+ years experience with Microsoft Windows Administration, with 2+ years in a Windows 2000/2003/2007 multi-site environment supporting 20000+ users.
• Must have 2-3 years experience operating large Windows Exchange Infrastructure in environments with multi-site locations, 100+ servers.
• Must have an excellent understanding of Windows 2003 Server and Active Directory.
• Experience with Veritas NetBackup will be a big plus.
• Experience with multi-domain Active Directory management a plus.
• Windows 2003 and IIS6.
• Active Directory Architecture and AD Group Policies.
• Administrative scripting (ex: VBScript, ADSI, Perl, WMI, etc).
• Microsoft OCS, LCS.
• Microsoft SMS.
• DNS.
• Sound working knowledge of network infrastructure and operations, including switching, routing, Ethernet, TCP/IP.
• Capacity planning.
• Experience with Unix based messaging and gateway's a plus.

• The position requires exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, and the individual must possess a structured, methodical approach to systems administration.
• Maintain appropriate documentation on the Microsoft exchange environment.
• Provide On-Call support and participate in on-call rotation for off-hours support.
• Participate in monthly weekend maintenance activities.
• Perform general system administration duties in a Windows Active Directory environment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all hardware on a routine and scheduled basis.
• Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Limited travel 5-10%.
• Excellent customer service and telephone skills, and experience in a professional service environment.
• Must have Good verbal and written communications skills.
• Candidate will be required to carry a mobile e-mail device and willing to support flexible working hours, including nights and weekends.
• Candidate will also be required to participate in the weekly on-call rotation.
• Candidate to work with local and remote teams.
