Financial Controller

My client is a global manufacturing group whose leading position is based on advanced polymer technology. With annual sales of £3 billion and 24,000 employees across 40 countries they offer excellent opportunities for career progression. Due to progressive growth, both organically and through acquisition, they require a Financial Controller to lead one of their key Manufacturing sites in France, in addition to undertaking full statutory reporting requirements for the French business. Reporting to the General Manager this is a number one finance role supporting the management team with responsibility for a small accounts function.

Key responsibilities include -· Production of management and financial accounting information for communication at all levels within the Group· Generate monthly and quarterly management accounts · Analyse variances and communicate clearly the key issues, making appropriate recommendations and advising of the impact on the business· Preparation of balance sheet, cash flow statements, income and expenditure accounts and tax returns for the Polish legal entity· Improving the systems surrounding all aspects of the business’s budgets, forecasts and business planning· Establish a regime of working capital control within the business· Establish and maintain the business standard costing system· Implement and maintain effective internal and financial control systems· Serve as a key player within the senior management team in providing the financial analysis to drive the business forward· Drive improvements related to cost reduction and margin improvementBeing a qualified accountant you will have extensive experience within the Manufacturing sector. With strong technical and analytical skills you will embrace challenge within a fast paced environment. Additionally you will have a good knowledge of ERP and consolidation packages. Knowledge of french reporting requirements and language skills are also required.
