Focus of role:
To proactively manage customer relationships, helping to retain and grow the customer base by providing an efficient and effective range of customer service skills and working on special calling initiatives

Reports to: Customer Service Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- The efficient and effective processing and handling of:
ALL customer calls
ALL orders and enquiries
Updating the ZP internal database, campaign codes, SIC descriptions and activity maintenance
Issuing credits and returns
Customer complaints
Catalogue requests
- Ensuring customer contact is followed through to completion.
- Proactively pursue sales quotations and follow up catalogue requests and realise when to offer samples to improve sales conversion.
- Actively manage the customer relationship and seeking additional selling opportunities.
- Work on special proactive calling initiatives to maintain and grow sales
- Solicit and cultivate sales as and when appropriate.
- Develop customer relationships, provide recognition, gather information one-to-one, using a personal inventory of skills that include needs-identification, empathy, and communication.
- Emphasising the companies experience by ensuring good customer service is provided to internal customers (eg Warehouse, Accounts) as well to external customers.
- Liase with and provide internal support to external sales team
- Liase with Technical advice.
- To undertake any other duties thought appropriate to maintain a consistently high standard of work.
