Account Manager Schiphol

Account Manager
by an American High Tech manufacturer company with their European HQ at Schiphol. All sales support, distribution and accounting issues are centralized here for the EMEA Region.

They are currently looking for an English and German speaking Account Manager.

Functieomschrijving: Account manager (English - German)

Account Manager English - German (inside sales) who has an affinity for numbers, excel and who is capable of coordinating basic supply chain management.

Interface with assigned customers to handle all pre and post sales support functions with a focus on supporting the maintenance of revenue generating activities associated with these accounts. Manage assigned customers within corporate established policies and operational guidelines. Develop and maintain relationships with customer base and field sales partners to insure seamless and superior customer satisfaction within assigned accounts.
Assigned accounts are medium to large in unit volume (>10K units /week) and complex in structure and maintenance requirements.

Account responsibilities include multiple sales channels and require the ability to execute multiple business processes, problem solve and coordinate cross-functional resolution of customer and sales related issues.

Interfaces with assigned customers to handle all pre and post-sales support functions:

Pre-Sales:

  • Work with necessary internal contacts to ensure customer profiles are established data base system;
  • Manage customer orders;
  • Communicate product availability, weekly;
  • Manage system operations and communications related to backlog and forecasting;
  • Administer pricing to assigned accounts -communicate and provide price list updates;
  • Process special pricing adjustments (SPAs);
  • Communicate and enforce marketing program guidelines;
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product shipments, product information and availability, pricing, product transition and new product introduction when required.

Post-Sale:

  • Coordinate shipment status;
  • Manage customer inventory and sell-thru data, weekly;
  • Negotiate and manage customer product accommodations - inventory turns and swaps;
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding logistics, rebate claims and credit issues;
  • Maintain collaborative working relationship with sales teams to insure seamless support for mutually assigned accounts and segments;
  • Monitor quarterly forecasts/quotas to ensure accurate allocation of product and booking of sales orders
  • Make decisions on routine and non-routine matters - decisions are based on established procedures or general direction from supervisor.


Functiecriteria: Account manager (English - German)

Education and/or Experience

  • 3+ years customer service and/or sales operations experience
  • Fluent in English and French (verbal and written)

Computer, Software, Tools, Equipment, and Machinery Skills

  • Excel reporting system experience (including creating basics spreadsheets with formulas and creating pivot tables)
  • Oracle system knowledge
  • Database input and manipulation

Language Skills

  • Good reading, writing and speaking skills in English and German
    • Read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals;
    • Write moderately complex reports , business correspondence, work procedures in English and German;
    • Use good English and English grammar, correct punctuation and spelling;
    • Clarify and respond effectively to common queries or complaints from customers in English and German.
