IT Help Desk Rep - Dutch & English - Amersfoort

Our international client are the worldwide leaders in the manufacturing and marketing of orthodontic/endodontic products and services. At their European headquarters in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, they sell and distribute products to European, Middle Eastern and African countries.


The main function of this position is to assist the users of their IT infrastructures, hardware and standard software mainly in Holland and all other European subsidiaries.


Essential duties :



  • provide IT user support to local and foreign offices

  • install, configure and maintain standard PC software

  • install and deploy new hardware (desktops and notebooks)

  • assist the technical staff in installing and deploying new server hardware


Ideal candidates have :
Profound knowledge and user support working experience in the following fields:



  • MS Windows operating systems, in particular XP Pro

  • Office2007 Professional

  • Networking in general (TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, Active Directory)


Basic knowledge of MS Server Family (SQL Server, IIS, Exchange Server, Site Server) preferred


Basic knowledge of the CISCO IP telephony solutions is preferred

Most of the activities are performed at the office in Amersfoort, however there may be the requirement for some travel to other European subsidiaries.


Languages :


Good knowledge of English and Dutch is a must. German and/or French is a preference.


Education :


MBO and/or appropriate experience is expected and IT education or certificates (MCSA, Microsoft Office specialist or other) are preferred.
