Process Automation Designer/Developer

We have a need for several process automation engineering designers / programmers located in the Benelux. These services are being requested to complete staffing requirements of projects to meet business staffing plans. These identified project resources will typically be assigned to projects with duration of 1 to 2 years.

Process Automation Engineering Designer / Developers will be assigned and managed by the client and assigned as part of a project team with client and non-client work force. Resources will be assigned to the specified project until project completion starting with feasibility/design through all project stages including system commissioning and facility startup. It will be expected that resources assigned to a project will remain for the duration of the project or until work is complete.

Process Automation Engineering Designers / Developers will be provided formalized training provided by the client and personal mentoring to achieve desired target skill efficiency.

The control system platform is a client-developed, proprietary control system.

Required Skills: Successful candidate skills/attributes:

o Knowledge of and experience with distributive control systems (DCS) or PLCs.

o Batch manufacturing process experience in the Chemical, Oil & Gas industries

o Experience with basic chemical engineering principles is a plus. Individuals should be capable of understanding the plant process and basic unit operations to assist with the conceptual design of process control strategies for process modifications and plant expansions. The successful candidate will then be responsible for implementing code, system simulation, operator training and commissioning support as a member or leader of the project team.

o Understanding of quality principles such as cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GAMP (Good Automated Manufacturing Practices).

Hands-on, field experience in chemical manufacturing plants with process commissioning, start-up, performance testing, and troubleshooting a major plus.
