The Graphic Designer/DTP and Web Content Developer provides support to central and local European Marketing while maintaining a consistent design approach throughout Europe and in alignment with the U.S. Graphic Design/DTP Design and produce marketing material for all divisions in Europe Update existing brochures, posters, sell sheets, postcards, envelopes along with other print materials in regard to typography and layout Responsible for participating in conceptual development of European marketing materials Manage workflow with internal customers Ensure the accuracy and high quality of graphics that meet branding guidelines and production needs. Works with project managers to define timelines according to business needs and other commitments. Design, code, test, debug new functionality, design and processing. Responsible for browser/platform testing of new content and functionality using a variety of testing software. Develops test scripts for smaller projects, providing documentation. Assists first point of contact for any European public website feedback or complaints Implements the navigational user interface design and site architecture for new web site content, products and features. May create or modify images and Flash interactions using appropriate graphic design applications, resulting in images fully optimized for Web use and display. Documents new processes appropriately and manages changes to existing documentation (SOP's). Liaise with the IPS information architect and application developers regularly to ensure consistency in design and implementation Other duties as necessary or required. Requirements EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in Computer Science, Web Design, Graphic Design or related field preferred   EXPERIENCE: At least three years of operational experience in a similar position in an international environment.   REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:   Very good graphic design skills and experience with several software packages ( Adobe InDesign , Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator) on MacIntosh Up to 2 years of experience in web page development and technologies including HTML, CSS, XML, XSL, Flash and JavaScript Knowledge of user-interface design principles and concepts Usage of web development tools and strong problem solving skills Basic skills and abilities in graphic design and image optimization Knowledge of testing concepts, testing applications and experience with structured testing Direct Mail design experience is essential Attention to detail, good understanding of pre-production and layout, Fluent in English, both written and spoken Additional languages are an asset Good communication and organizational skills Good computer skills (MS Office) Creative problem solving Flexible person who takes initiative and responsibility, has a feel for languages, strong interpersonal skills and can work with a team of matrix managers.
